One thing that really frustrates me is how when it comes to sustainability solutions, urban areas seems unable to learn from rural areas (while telling them what works because it works in urban areas). Newsflash, urbanites. Rural residents have stolen a march on you. As this video of electricity generation on Scottish Islands shows.

Yep, the Orkney’s are doing power so well that its a problem. No doubt some urbanites will say something along the lines of “bUt ThIs WoN’t ScAlE” or something like that. To which I say this: the solution needs to fit the problem. And rural areas do this far better than urban areas. In my humble opinion.
