Funny Story - MMD Special
Good day my good friend.
Funny thing, public holidays. They sneak up when you least expect it. And last week, I forgot to mention that today is the Early May Bank Holiday in the UK. So there is no full edition of the newsletter today. Nor will there be next Monday thanks to Charles’ Coronation, or on 29th May due to the Spring Bank Holiday. We are going public holiday crazy in the UK!
Today, I am sharing with you a few excellent newsletters that I follow here on Substack. Normal service will be resumed tomorrow.
Transportist
David Levinson does an excellent job summarising the latest transport research and transport planning practice on a weekly basis. Highly recommended!
The Accessible Link
Christiane Link provides some amazing insight into the world of travel from those of us who find it harder to get around. Her observations are incisive and accessible, and her writing full of passion.
Along for the Ride
Sarah Barnes’ weekly newsletter is always a joy to read. She tackles active travel, social justice, and tech with brilliant blend of positivity and emotion that will put a smile on your face (and hit you in the feels when needed).
Pop Transport
A newsletter dedicated to the most popular form of transport there is: informal transport. Their posts are occasional but always amazingly insightful regarding this often-forgotten way of getting about.
The Micromobility Newsletter
Does exactly what it says on the tin. All the latest news in the world of e-scooters and bikes all provided to you every day. Always highly informative for a space in rapid transit.
RM Transit
If you love public transport, you need to subscribe to this Substack. No more need be said.
